Post thumbnail : Generate from the first post image

If there is no image in the feed article, it won’t be added. Please use the default settings.

    I don’t mention about THUMBNAIL.

It doesn’t show anything such as articles, thumbnails, posted data.

In this case, What should I do?

    This option must be disabled:

    Thanks.

So… can’t this plugin read out thumbnails from the articles?

Also, I was able to read out articles’ titles in selected category page but if I click a article’s link, the link opens same category page.

Why is that? could you please tell me the solution?

    Also I want to ask.

Can this plugin read out the sites’ or blogs’ names from scraped articles?

So… can’t this plugin read out thumbnails from the articles?

It can, but only if the image is included into the feed. For example: http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/world/africa/rss.xml

Also, I was able to read out articles’ titles in selected category page but if I click a article’s link, the link opens same category page.

Could you please be more specific here?

Can this plugin read out the sites’ or blogs’ names from scraped articles?

Only the information which is included into the feed can be syndicated.

Just now I was able to read out first articles by rewriting the tag to cyberseo_post_link to read out….

Do you know the tag for reading out sites names? For example <?php echo get_ .....(); ?>

By the way, you are very kind to users!!

I see it now. There is no way to see the source title. Only the source URL is available as:

    <?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, "cyberseo_rss_source", true); ?>

The RSS feed source domain is not always the same as the main site. For example, it can be located at feedburner.com or somewhere else…

so, if I understand correctly, if you want to pull images from an RSS feed, the only posts that display are the ones with images, correct? So if I want ALL posts, whether they have images or not, I need to set the post thumbnail to not generate. However, then I NEVER get a picture.

Isn’t there a way to check for an image if Post thumbnail set to anything besides the default, and if an image doesn’t exist, just create the post without the image?

No, of course. I want to say that if you set the plugin to generate a featured image for every syndicated post, the posts without images will not be added, because a featured image can not be generated.

In this case almost all WP themes that use featured images will look weird.

    Look at these typical sites:
    http://www.cyberseo.net/demo/tube-autoblog/
    http://www.cyberseo.net/demo/pinterest-style/
    http://www.cyberseo.net/demo/magazine-style/

Will the look normal if some posts will be published w/o featured images? They won’t, and that’s why the plugin works this way.

What about adding the option to choose a specific image from my own site’s media files as a default thumbnail? So having 5 options, instead of 4:

    -Do Not Generate
-Generate from the first post image
-Generate from the last post image
    -Generate from media attachment thumbnail
-Generate from selected media on my site (then with option to pick the desired image)

I will consider it when I’ll have a time, but I can’t promise it will be soon.

    Ok thank you!
