    Hi

    I can’t open the exported Excel files from Gravity Forms Entries in Excel anymore. All Plugins and WordPress should be up to date.

    May I ask for your help?

    Hi @webspatz,

    Sure no problem. So you don’t get an error, but the file us not readable. Could you send me one of those corrupted files? You can send it to info@gfexcel.com. I’ll take a look if anything else is a miss.

    Usually this is because another plugin or template is returning a notice or warning, that corrupts the output of the excel. If you have WP_DEBUG enabled it could help to disable that. (Usually a good idea in production to avoid leaking info).

    @webspatz Very strange. Perhaps it ended up in your spam folder. Anyways, I’ve checked the file and it is corrupted. And probably by your theme. Somewhere your theme is outputting empty lines.

    Try to locate php-files that end with ?> and remove that. You don’t need to close PHP files, and more than often this is the issue.

    If you can’t figure this out, try to mail me at wordpress@doeken.org. Perhaps that works. I might be able to help debug on the server.

    (I’ve removed 2 empty lines from beginning of the file source and now it works).
