I can’t insert images

Hello,

I have tried several times to insert images into the cells in the first column of my table in the link provided.

1. I click the “Insert Image” button below the table in the editor
2. I click in the first cell under the header row, the cell I want the image in
3. Then I select the image from my media files, set to Medium or Full size (have tried both; images around 300×300), click Insert into Table
4. Save changes to table

When I am finished doing these steps, the table editor shows no image in the cell. The preview shows no image. The web page in which I have copied the shortcode for the table shows no image.

I’ve tried more than one image, without any luck. I’ve just started using Tablepress, so maybe I’m not doing this right?

Please advise.

Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Your are following the right process, but it seems that there are some technical problems. After you click the “Insert into Table” button, is there any code being added to the table cell (it should look like <img src="..." ... />)?

If not, I assume that something else is interfering here. Can you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty? That way, we can find what’s causing this.

Thanks for your response, Tobias, and for your advice.

I have temporarily disabled all plugins but Tablepress, and changed my theme to Nineteen Nineteen.

I tried adding several different images in my Media from different sources, and none of them will add any code to the table cell.

I did import my table data through XLSX, and I’m using Chrome browser — I don’t know if either can make any difference?

Thanks again for figuring out what was preventing me from putting images in cells, Tobias.

In case anyone else is having this issue, it turns out that my server’s firewalls were causing this. My server admin turned off Modsecurity (which they assured me was safe to do because they had other firewalls too), and I was immediately able to add images.
