I can't get this to work as expected.

In wanting to use a sticky footer with an embedded radio stream player, I’ve been unable to get this working as expected… so that the player continues uninterrupted through site browsing.
Wondering whether it might be an issue with the js of the player, as a test I removed the player and replaced it with an embedded YouTube video (crudely added to the footer so as to be clear of all divs to be AJax-loaded).
The video doesn’t continue playing either, so I’m wondering whether I’ve missed something simple and am perhaps not correctly targeting the appropriate divs… in AWS ‘Ajax container ID’ is ‘#primary’, and ‘Menu container class’ is ‘.menu-primary-container’.
I’m using a test install with TwentySixteen, and no other plugins.
