  • I’ve same problem too, when User click the like button, download link not appearing and the like count not working.

I can’t find a tutorial how to setup this plugin anywhere, maybe I missed some setting?

    This is the code:
    [l2g]<a href="my link">Download</a>[/l2g]

    Developer, please help us.

    Thanx.

*Edit: this plugin not works if google analytic is checked.

@chrisslemke try to update or better deactivate “Floating Social Media Links”-Plugin. And let me know if it is working fine after..

@teeslab Can you provide me a link from your site?

For GA be sure you have integrated a working GA-Code and be sure to select the right version of GA-Tracker (old, or new), than it should be working.

    Hi Drumba,
thanks for the reply. I deactivated the float but the result is unchanged. Even though I have noticed one little difference (this has been the case before as well)

When I actualize my site, like a millisecond before the wpLike2Get Buttons show up, I see the file I’m hiding. But only behind the twitter button. And sometimes, when I tweet it it actually works.

Does that help in resolving somehow?

    Cheers

    Hi chrisslemke,

I tested it with the facebook and twitter button and it is working. Have you changed anything? On what Browser is it failing for you?

    Hi Drumba,

thanks again, I did it with Chrome and Safari and it didn’t. I put together a quick video, maybe it uncovers something.

    Cheers

It happened because you have not defined a name for the link. The link is shown in the markup but only the link is shown, without any text:

    <a href=".."></a>

    Duh,

now it works of course. And I feel rather stupid. My deepest thanks, I will now use it excessively.

    Hi Kris,

what Tracking are you using? One of the new Universal Tracking? This is currently not supported. But I have it on my list…

@drumba: thanx for your reply, btw I’m using Google Analytic for tracking, I don’t know about old or new version but I’ve been setup it maybe 5month ago 🙂

    @drumba

Please check if your google analytics tracking is working after the next plugin update. I try to deliver as fast as I can.

@teeslab pls test if it is working for you with the latest update. The GA version is detected automatically now, no more need for setting it. Google Universal tracking is also implemented.

@drumba: wow cool, thanx for your fast support, now it work great 😀
