[resolved] I can't find where to change my slider's speed. (11 posts)

I've read a half dozen suggestions on how to change slider speed, but not one of them seems to work for me.
The site is JapaneseTheGame.com and if any of you wizards can help me out, I'll sure appreciate it.

I just want to slow it down by about 50%, but I can't find where the speed value (or whatever it is) is stored.

Is the slider part of your theme or is it a plugin?

It's part of the theme. It's a full-page background slider.

  4. Your website isn't accessible on my end. What theme are you using?

I can't either all of a sudden. Drag.
I'm using this theme, which is also somehow inaccessible to me at the moment: http://www.web2feel.com/helix/‎

  6. Unfortunately the WordPress Community typically doesn't support themes that are not from the theme repository. These themes are known to be insecure.

Anyway, because your website is offline it's hard to help :(

Here's a more direct link to the theme demo:

I'm using the same exact slider functionality as you see here, so I imagine the solution will also be identical.

The wordpress.org support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on wordpress.org. We do not support themes downloaded from elsewhere.

  9. Thanks Esmi for reaffirming, I think we cross posted :)

@LastFewSteps: If you are 100% set on using that theme you could try contacting the publisher at http://www.fabthemes.com/contact/.

    More information here: https://github.com/srobbin/jquery-backstretch

That is the actual slider documentation on github.
You need to set duration in milliseconds:

      ], {duration: 4000});

    Christian, you are the man.

Mods, thanks for letting me know about the Forum parameters. I'm relatively new to the forums, and I haven't had a problem before.
