  • I have a website, and I have access to the server, however I can’t access the website itself.

It was built by a web developer and is a wordpress site, but I now can’t get hold of the developer, and he not only has access to the site itself, but also to all the emails which are being sent through the website (the only thing I can access is the server!)

    What should I do??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Do you have access to the server the site is on? You can go in the wp_users table of the database and change the password using an MD5 hash generator as well as the email account that is attached to the admin account.

As Davood stated you can find/change your password in the database if you can access that.

Also for all WordPress sites you can add /wp-admin at the end of your site name to get to the backend login screen. For example:

Here you can click on the “Lost Your Password?” link and recover it if it is linked to an e-mail you use.
