[Resolved] I Can’t Access My Admin Page

  • I use Safari as a browser, and don’t have Quicktabs on my screen when I compose. I went a-looking for answers and came upon the topic of safari not viewing, and how to fix. I followed the guidelines–went into admin in the root and tinkered with the code as suggested in the admin-functions.php–and lo and behold: ever since, when I point my browser to the Admin log in page all I get is a blank screen–and a locked up one, at that. None of the buttons work. I have to force quit and start over. Any suggestions out there?

    Thanks!

I would download WP again and replace those files you altered.
Once it works, you can try altering the code again ?

If I do this, and if my host back up my data, would I lose my content, the skin, etc?
    Thanks,

The ONLY files to replace are those in the /wp-admin folder.
You can delete those and upload new ones.

Don’t go deleting or uploading anything else – there’s no need to right now and that won’t affect anything on your blog. Just the ones in /wp-admin/, no others 🙂

    Worked perfectly! Thanks!
