Support » Plugin: Advanced Access Manager » I Can No Longer Access AAM

    I can no longer access AAM. I deactivated all other plugins, and still there is no access. I can view only 1 page of AAM below, but not manage user groups or permissions.

    example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=awm-group

    I’m getting tired of messing with AAM. I’m going to have to find an alternative.

    Hi Adam,
    You are not able to access most likely because you lost your Super Admin capability.
    The fastest way will be to deactivate and remove and reinstall it again.
    Most likely I’ll remove Super Admin support in next release to avoid these confusions.

    Thanks for the tip!

    Removing the Super Admin role is a good idea. Was that role created for compatibility with multisite installations?

    Nope. Super Admin role was created for two reasons:
    – Reduce the change that non-experienced user will screwed his/her administrator’s role;
    – Give a possibility for one Super Admin manager other Administrators;

    That makes sense, and those are good reasons. Thanks, Vasyl!
