I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. I searched around on this forum and wordpress.org but since I’m new to all this, it’s a little above my head. When I purchased a subscription to RocketThemes and installed the gantry framework by uploading the file to wordpress. WordPress’ front and back end are not working. This is what appears when I try to click any menu option in the back end and on the front end of the site

    wp-content/themes/rt_gantry_wp/functions.php on line 336

When I go into that file through my hosting company it’s simply the closing php like so

    ?>

I have no idea if this has any relevance but I saw someone explaining something about file permissions. When I download say a picture off the internet I have to set different permissions in order to upload it. They have a little lock on them before.

I haven’t had any other problem with any other themes and like I said I’m new so I’m kinda stumped.

FYI: I understand HTML and CSS and have slowly been learning PHP and MYSQL but I still don’t have the best grasp on them. I to this point have been able to fix any problem I’ve encountered but I could really use some help here. Any suggestion is much appreciated. Help a newbie out. Thanks in advance.

I resolved this issue. For anyone else who has it I went in through my PHPadmin folder on my host and deleted the themes folder from it. Refreshed and them was able to log back and change to a new theme. I believe I needed a plug in first to get Gantry to work, so I will try it again. At least I will know how to fix it this time.
