• at some point today whilst trying to get the site im working on ready, the popup box that you use to load media got borked. now instead of popping up it appears off page, at the bottom left and i can just see the corner of the text etc but i cant scroll left to get at it…anyone got any ideas? could this be css related? also i have lost the admin toolbar at the top too when logged in and the headings on it appear bottom left just below my footer code when looking at the site whilst logged in as admin…

Actually i can see that the div for the admin bar is there when inspecting the CSS but it’s not holding the items, (the bar is at the top, but the headings/text for the buttons (buttons themselves not showing just clickable text links) is all below my footer text. so weird. but id love to be able to fix this, as i cant finish the site im working on because i cant upload more images to generate the test pages :S

may any plugin is creating the problem. First deactivate the all plugin and check once. If your media loader is working now then activate the plugin one by one until the defective plugin find.

no i have done that. i deactivated all plugins, to no effect. i also changed themes, again to no effect with both the admin bar or the menu popup for uploading media. it also appears ive lost all the buttons under the visual editor for both new posts and new pages

ive also noticed a slider i had working on my home.php now also doesnt move.. it does display but nothing else. looks like i might have broken something major? any way i may be able to fix this without reinstalling everything?

also now tried this – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress. still no joy… im at a loss here, theres such a lack of knowledge on my part that im not even sure if the problems are all related/symptomatic of one issue.
