What do you mean you “blocked” images? How did you do that? Not something I’m familiar with.

Do you by any change mean you’re using an Ad Blocker of some kind and you told that to block the images? In which case, disable the ad blocker for your website.

Looking at your website, I see the wide banner image, and the small square logo. Looks ok to me, or was I supposed to see other images too?

Are you sure this problem isn’t just when YOU view it? Or have you already fixed it?

    Hi Jason,

When you are in Google images and click on an image and choose ‘Image information’and then ‘General’ or ‘Media’you can just cross ‘block this’. I did it with the two images that are in Google Images and belong to my website.

Afterwards I lost all images from my website and the Media Library of Word Press.

In my website you should also see images on “Zolder (2), ‘Galerie'(64) ‘Jouw werk’and ‘over fairwoods'(1).

I will restart my computer and see if things work again.

    Thank you thus far, Jason.

    Hi Jason,

Also when I went there directly with http://www.fairwoods.net, I saw no images any more, except for one (second image in second message of my blog page/’Zolder’).

I am sure that is is caused by my blocking 2 images in Google.
Yes, I do use Ghostery all the time, so that is not the cause.

    Please, someone help?

    Many thanks,

    Hi Jason,

My son in law could see the website perfectly with all the images. So I think that with blocking my two images, I also blocked my IP address for working with images for my website/domain. … Too bad …

    Hoping for a solution,
    thankfully,

With my page “jouw werk’ I invite people to show the art work they make. I need to be able to upload images to my website. And I cant. So there remains a problem also weh I am the only one who cannot see the images on my website. AND my media library will not work (blocked as well).

So help is needed. I also asked help to Google, but they don’t seem to recognize the problem at Google Images. And Google itself cannot be reached.

Nothing is wrong with your website, and the problem isn’t Google or WordPress. As I guessed in the first place (because it’s not the first time I’ve seen this happen) it’s an ad blocker on your own computer causing this.

You said you told Ghostery to block your images, so that’s what it’s doing. Not sure why you think the problem isn’t Ghostery. It’s just doing what you told it to do.

I don’t know how Ghostery works, but suggest you find the setting to unblock your images, or exclude your domain, or whatever you have to do, and that will solve your problem. Restarting your computer won’t help. And since this is a WordPress support forum, you might want to ask Ghostery for help instead – https://ghostery.zendesk.com/hc/en-us.

Meanwhile, switch the Ghostery browser extension off so you can get some work done!

    Thanks Jason,

    I’ll look at Ghostery.

The odd thing, however, is that all the blocking happened just after I blocked the pictures from my domain at Google’s. But anyway I’ll check with Ghostery. Yha country flags showing in WPBrowser that appeared this morning, disappeared also after the blocking. Ghostery, here I come!

    Jason,

I switched off Ghostery. Ghostery is about trackers. So it isn’t Ghostery. I have the free version and nowhere I could set any preferences. Nevertheless I asked them as well how to unblock.

I noticed my total loss of images in relation to my website right after I blocked the two images from my domain in Google.

Still have the same question. How to unblock images st Google?

    Present again,

Jason, I went to Ghostery and could indeed see some settings. They don’t talk about images, just about trackers. I switched off Ghostery and in does not help a bit. So it is not Ghostery, but my blocking at Google indeed. I noticed loss of images right after the blocking. The Google Search Images site showed zero trackers.

    Help!
    fairwoods.

Sorry, I didn’t notice you’d posted more than one reply above.

You said: when you are in Google images and click on an image and choose ‘Image information’and then ‘General’ or ‘Media’ you can just cross ‘block this’.

Not when I try it. There are no such options. Wait, when you say “click” do you mean “right click”? Because if so, that’s nothing to do with Google Images. That’s something in your browser.

My guess is it’s a browser extension. If not Ghostery, then a different one. Check which extensions you have installed and deactivate likely culprits. But this still doesn’t sound like a WordPress problem, or even a website problem. And I suspect it’s nothing to do with Google Images either.

Use https://snag.gy/ to take a screenshot of what you did to block an image. Then share the url here.

Try a different browser. Bet that works.

    Jason,

    Thank you for your reply.

you will see in the second image, “Media”, the little square in Google Images, that you can cross. That blocks images from the site it is related to (mentioned).
I thought I blocked Google, but blocked my website images.

If you want to read it in English, it is Firefox Support, “page info window”, “Media”, “blocking images of domain”.

This is not a browser thing, in is from Google itself, a I saw it in Google.

The snag.gy thing was to difficult for me.

    How to unblock this ….

Thank you for bearing with me.

    Hi Jason,

I still can’t unblock the images.

BUT: I was able to load my website WITH all images and have my Media Library intact, while using Microsoft Edge, that was in my taskbar!

    Amazing and true.

You solved the problem by suggesting an other browser and I thank you for your time and attention.
