Have you installed any plug-ins lately? Try uninstalling them.
Can you please provide a link to a post or page where this is happening?

look under Mar. 4 day 63 under the “photo tip” – middle o the sentence it placed a period where there should be an “A”.
Mar. 3 day 62 – 2nd paragraph.
There are more if you scroll the blog you will see them.
After I noticed it was doing this I tried to write in such a manor that it would not happen. I did not notice this until after the update. It looks lie after the update it went through and changed a bunch of spots in older posts as well.
Bizarre. If it happened after this update I would redo the 3.1 update manually. Hopefully someone else has other suggestions, too.
Before doing that I would also deactivate all plug-ins to see if that solves it – maybe one of them isn’t compatible with 3.1. The master list says there are issues with NextGen Gallery in particular.
how do i go back to earlier version….this is getting really annoying
I viewed a post without an image and it was not happening so I believe it was the plugin for my photos…any way to rectify?
Look for an alternative that is 3.1-compatible or deactivate it until NextGen is updated?

You have some funky code going on with anchor tags in that sentence:
I think it is <a href="http://" target="_blank"></a>. matter of perspective.
What does this entry look like in your backend editor? It looks like whatever is going on, the A is being parsed as an <a
tag.
Erik,
I am not a complete novice at html. With that said I am not sure I am understanding what you are asking me to do. Are you saying to go to “edit post” and then look at post in “html” view?
Not sur about your last line either.
I should make myself more clear….It seems to be happening when I put a photo into post. So am I right in saying that it is probably not a plug-in issue since you do not use plug-ins to insert photos into your post?
But you have/had a lightbox plug-in (NextGen) installed, which affects your photos.
If you deactivate that plug-in, does the problem still happen when you add a new post?
Narrowed it down to the “auto affiliates” plug-in
When deactivated problem goes away…
