Support » Fixing WordPress » I am the new admin. of an existing site…Need aesthetic editing advice…

  • Howdy,

I have been asked by a studio I work for to be their admin/updater for their existing website. The website was created on another computer and I can access the admin page. However, when I go to add posts I am having a lot of trouble with the text size, shape, and format because I can not seem to find those controls.

When I look at tutorials online there are more buttons at the top of the space where you post new words…such as the “bold” button, or the “color text” button.

since I did not create the website and I am editing online, do I need to download wordpress to my computer to have access to these tools? (If the site is up and running and hosted…how would I download and use the software when I don’t have access to some of that information?)

I look forward to hearing from you!

All editing is done on line. At the new post screen on the far right side of the visible buttons is one called kitchen sink. Click on that.
