    Hi there,
I hope someone can help me.
I am using a level one droplet on Digital Ocean as my server and I am running a subdomain as the main url for this particular site.

I use Google Apps for my email from the main domain and would like emails to run on the main domain, not a subdomain.
    Subdomain = Removed by Mod

When I install WP Mail SMTP I add in my google credentials as the main domain:
    Removed by Mod
    smtp.gmail.com
    Port 465
    etc

When I run a test email I receive this message — Warning Long Code Ahead –:
    `
    Test Message Sent
    The result was:
    bool(false)
The full debugging output is shown below:
    Removed by Mod

I’ve been at this for days. If someone could just straighten me out I would really appreciate it and we would be happy to send you some free tea, if you’re into tea!

    Please let me know!
    Thank you.
    Ciao,
    ~David Moore

  • I just installed the WP Mail SMTP plug in to resolve the issue of not receiving emails and it didn’t resolve. I am having the same issue as David Moore. Please help!

I get the same code when I send a test email:

    Test Message Sent
    The result was:
    bool(false)
The full debugging output is shown below:

Becareful with posting the debugging info. It has the password you entered for your email on the site. That is a hackers wet dream right there.

Edit your post to remove the Password part or edit the password to read “password” or some other placeholder text

Could a moderator please contact me, to remove some of this information?
I did not realize I could not edit a post after 60 minutes!

I’ve removed it, but still try to change your credentials ASAP.

Removed all the debug output from both posts.

Please do not post information which should not be public. All information posted here will likely be mirrored in Google in about 5 minutes. We don’t control that.

If you posted a password, change it immediately. If you posted a debug log then it probably contained a password, so change the passwords immediately as well.

Read what you post before you put it on the internet.

Has anyone had any luck with this issue yet? I have the same problem with this plugin although I’ve tried a couple others and the test mail goes through fine so I know I have all the correct info entered.

The reason I’d like to get this plugin to work is because the gravity forms still do not send emails with the other smtp plugins I tried.

In my debug output it’s reporting at the end that it has a problem with the email address. Oddly though, that is not the email address I have set and I also updated the wordpress general settings admin email to the smtp email since that was the only place the reported email address had been set. So I can’t figure out where it’s getting that wrong address.
