• Yesterday I received hundreds of signatures in a very short time that had what seemed to be faked and computer generated emails like xvvew22@xc7332s.com. The web host shut down the site assuming that somehow the site was spamming and we narrowed it down to the petition problem since the petition would send me an email after each signature. (looks like in order to turn off this email to me I need to start a new petition, right?) Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas on now to cope with this? The names of the signers seem valid and the list looks good until you see the emails and you realized something is up. I am running the petition with no email confirmation.

The only thing I can think of in the short run is to inform the web host of this problem and shut down the petition. This is not a great solution since we had over 4000 signatures with valid emails prior to this mess.

Can I transfer the good signers to a new petition with different settings that might thwart this problem?

Thanks for any help you might offer.
