It seems that hyperlinks are being stripped from gallery pic Captions when the Gallery is updated. I note that back in 2.12.3 there is a changelog entry saying “Fixed: Do not strip image’s title & caption html tags on image edit”.

Nothing is stripped for me on editing the image, but when I do “Update Gallery”, then my HTML hyperlink is removed, leaving the HTML “a” tags there and the link text but with no hyperlink.

What’s even more annoying is that on all my past galleries, this has been stripped out too, which was a very laborious job to add all these links in the first place.

    I am using 2.12.25.

Is this removing of hyperlinks deliberate? I can’t see anything saying that this is now a thing.

    Hello @stevehammatt,

I tested this on the latest version of Modula (v2.12.25) and couldn’t reproduce the issue.

Could you please provide us with a more detailed, step-by-step guide so we can replicate the problem on our end? It would also be very helpful if you could share the hyperlink (or an example of it) that you’re referring to, or even the entire caption.

    Warm regards,
    Teo

Sorry for the delay. I have recently been unable to reproduce this issue too. Which is strange, but of course it’s good news. So I will leave this for now and if the problem does come back then I will provide more information and detailed examples. Thanks for responding.
