# Hyperlink in users profile

 * Hey. I’ve searched high and low and can’t find a solution to my problem. After
   upgrading to 2.0, any hyperlinks (web addresses, email addresses etc) now display
   incorrectly. They simply display the code.
 * It’s similar to what would happen if you typed code into the normal editor — 
   in that case you’re encouraged to put  around it and it works fine. However, 
   when putting  around a hyperlink within the authors profile, it doesn’t work.

 * See the user profile is displaying the code of the link, but not the link itself.
 * The code I’m using here to display the profile is — <?php the_author_description();?

 * If anyone had any idea as to what’s going on and why i can’t get hyperlinks displaying
   correctly, I’d be so greatful!
