• I added wordpress to my domain yesterday. I chose Citrus Mix By Maruf Rahman Version 1.4 for the theme. When I was trying to create the first post and first new page, I wanted to have a link in the text. For some reason the hyperlink buttons are disabled on the edit text menu bar. I then went to the html version of the text and added a link with html and when I check the actual page everything in the ahref quotes was missing. No link that way either.

Is there a setting somewhere for no links text creation or is this a theme issue?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

ok deactivating all plugins did not fix it

switching to twenty eleven did not fix it…..

What about resetting the plugins folder? Or uploading fresh copies of the core WordPress files?
