I am trying to add things to the sidebars in the theme Hyaline 1.05. It is apparently not widget ready and I would like to include adsense and a variety of other such items. I enter the Theme Editor, click Sidebars and I have tried numerous things in numerous places. The simplest thing I have tried was typing the word “TEST” in various places on the page under both “sidebar 1” and “sidebar 2” and nothing happened. I have tried contacting the theme’s author to no avail. Can anyone provide me with some guidance, please?
Please keep in mind that, even though I do know html rather well, I am not a programmer and I do not know CSS.
Thank you in advance.
Can you provide a link to the Hyaline theme? I’ll download and see if I can help.
Thanks jwurster, it is here:
I love the look and feel of this theme. I hope I do not have to change it.
I got the word TEST to work in sidebar 1, but I cannot get anything within the <iframe> tag from Amazon to show up in a sidebar. And, I cannot get more than one <iframe> item in a posting. What’s the deal? Does anyone know?
I installed it. It looks very nice, but then I like 3-column themes. I did find some problems with a couple of the files (archives.php, main.php and links.php). When I was in the theme editor, the list of theme files down the righthand side wasn’t displaying correctly. I knew there must be a problem in at least one of the files. So, I pulled up the archives file. I went to the end and backspaced to remove an extra carriage return. I did the same thing in the main and links files.
Did you have this problem? I hope you fixed it.
