Title: Human visits includes bots or query error Last modified: August 21, 2016 --- # Human visits includes bots or query error * Resolved [internet.se](https://wordpress.org/support/users/internetse/) * (@internetse) * [12 years, 11 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/human-visits-includes-bots-or-query-error/) * I have installed slimstats on a wordpress and have notice that under the “visitor”( I have translated from swedish) tab that the graph is displaying bots and what not.. the title for the graph says “daily human visits” but next to that there is a box with “summary” and “human visits” these numbers do not match what is displayed on the graph. * And this is not all.. if I for example click on one day in the graph, it shows 15 unique IP (blue line) and 3 visitors (green line). When I get to the hourly graph for that day, it can show something totally different. Unique IP (blue line) has 18 hits and the same to visitors (9 hits). The “summery” displays human visitors: 2 and unique IPs: 3. * What is this Stats? nothing looks legit. it all looks really randomly.. * Also I have notice that GoogleBot with the same IP has been registered as safari 4 and as Googlebot, maybe that screws up things as one hit get counted as bot and the other one as human unique IP. I assume the confusion stems from aggregated numbers, and the difference between visits, visitors, unique IPs and pageviews. As is right now, I cant be sure any of the stats are correct as I dont know what numbers are the correct ones. * And under summery, is that suppose to be the total of the unique IPs for a given period? say the period is 1st June – 31st June. Counting all the hits per day is not even close to whats listen under summery. Let’s say I am the only visitor and that I visit your site on 7/1 at 10 AM, at 12 PM and at 3 PM, coming always from the same IP address. Now, if you look at the monthly view (day by day), you will see 1 Unique IP on 7/1, but if you switch to the hourly view, you will see 1 at 10, 1 at noon and 1 at 3 pm = 3 Unique IPs 😉 * Hope this explains what you noticed. * Cheers, Camu * Thread Starter [internet.se](https://wordpress.org/support/users/internetse/) * (@internetse) * [12 years, 11 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/human-visits-includes-bots-or-query-error/#post-3891828) * Thank you for the explanation. * Now I understand that the IPs are grouped, it is unique ip for each day then clicking on one day it shows unique ip for each hour etc. * When I click on the “visitors” tab, in the summary box, it says human visitors: 31, Unique IPs: 23, is this info the total for the period? ex. 1 june – 30 june: if you have visit the page: 1st, 15th, 22nd of june with same IP, will that result in 1 human visitor and 1 unique IP under “Summery”-box? Visitors in the daily human graph should have more hits then unique IPs I believe. Human visitor should not be able to visit the homepage with more IPs then the amount of visits counted.
