human condition issue (6 posts)

I use the human condition template for my site -- http://www.themattrix.com. I'm a newbie and would appreciate a little help. I need to know a couple of things...

    1. How do I get rid of the Link Category displaying in the sidebar. I don't categorize my links and would just like the links posted. You'll notice that I added "Links:" to be uniform with the rest of the items in the sidebar. Any ideas on how to get rid of the extra category header.

    2. My calendar starts with Monday. Any easy way to make switch that to Sunday? Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

First, I'd contact the theme's author and their site. They may have the answers for you there.

Second,to clean up your Link Category stuff, first check this article on Stylizing Lists with CSS and WordPress from the Codex and then open up your sidebar.php (we hope that's where the sidebar is) in your Theme folder and, following the instructions in the article, find where the title is and change it or delete it or whatever works for you.

Actually, I should have said BACKUP THINGS FIRST, but let's assume you knew that, just in case.

As for the calendar...I'll leave that part to someone wiser since I don't know how that works at all. But check here:

I can't get to your site - but I'm guessing you are using 1.2 ?

The 'calendar starts with Monday' is an option that can be set in the Admin section, at the bottom of the Options>>General panel.

Thanks. I guess I just kept overlooking the calendar thing. I'm going to check out the Link Category listing.
