    Hello,

we have tried to switch on/off every plugin after having to load back end WooCommerce product pages for about 10-30s/each load and it seems this plugin is slowing our backend.

Could you please look at this?

The problems appears when we switch TRUE on “Switch UI”. We have now about 13k records under this custom taxonomy and its getting more and more painful with more records. Any chance to optimize this?

For example: Is it possible to somehow lazyload, after the page loads or hide all the loading records and only show search for this taxonomy on backend?

Note: We cannot decrease number of unique records as we have this number of unique authors of written books.

    Thanks,
    Tadeáš

Not quite sure which setting you mean when you say “Switch UI”. Do you mean “Show UI” ?

Also just to be certain, these are 13,000 terms in this taxonomy correct?

We don’t do anything in regards to how the metaboxes are rendered/displayed, we just leave that up to WordPress core, so I have to believe you’d have this issue regardless of CPTUI usage or not. You happen to have a LOT of data to render/display in the spot.

I assume things are purposely hierarchical, but I do have to wonder if it possible things could be turned to non-hierarchical where you get the “tag” version like you see on posts. There may also be methods with other plugins to replace the metabox completely and implement your own, but that’s not something we have any direct support for in CPTUI.

I also saw the review come in for you with this same issue, possibly posting in the wrong spot initially, with it meant to be a support thread first? Understood if not, but I hate to say we don’t have much here in regards to what we can do from our plugin.
