    Hello,

I am having an issue with my sites footer area being way too large on every page. I have switched themes to twenty sixteen, reinstalled, deactivated all plugins etc. I am also missing some widgets that I originally started out with, such as the twitter and facebook feed widgets. Thank you for any assistance.

  • Hi lesiaoz,

thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

I am having an issue with my sites footer area being way too large on every page.

Can you please specify what exactly you mean with too large on every page? We checked your website and it seems your footer is just as large as shown in the theme demo.

I am also missing some widgets that I originally started out with, such as the twitter and facebook feed widgets.

You probably were using plugins which you’ve disabled in the meanwhile. The free MH Magazine lite theme doesn’t contain social widgets.

    Hello MH Themes,

I resolved all of my issues last night. The social widgets came from the Plugin JetPack and I had a text widget that was making the footer huge. All fixed now. Thanks. Now my problem is that I can’t get the Author information off posts 🙁

You could hide the author on posts with a line of CSS:

    .entry-meta-author { display: none; }

In order to add custom CSS code to your website, you can either make use of a child theme or plugins like Simple Custom CSS.

As an alternative, you could have a look at the premium version of MH Magazine which includes options to disable post meta data, among several other additional features, options and custom widgets.

Does this work even when the information going at the top of posts is pulling from the About page?

The info is not going on every blog post, just some.

The CSS code will hide the author name on single posts. If you mean something else, then please provide detailed information about what you mean exactly, thanks.

The first few lines of text from my ABOUT page is showing up at the top of blog posts.

If you mean this post, you’ve uploaded a featured image there and the text you see there is the image caption.

In case you haven’t uploaded this by yourself, then please disable your plugins to do some troubleshooting as it’s also possible that a plugin is messing with your website somehow.

Problem solved. My featured images were missing from the pages. Thank you. WordPress has excellent support.
