    I tried using this and yes, it gave me a better score in GT Metrix alongside W3 Total Cache BUT it also caused me a major headache. My client site white screened and upon further investigation, i realised it was a quota issue.

    Looking into it, over 3 days, this plugin generated 1.5GB worth of automptimize cache files in public_html/wp-content/cache/autoptimize folder which pushed the client hosting account over quota and caused white screen.

    I checked the plugin and can’t see any kind of automation to purge the cache files. They just keep on building ….

    What’s the score with this? Am I missing something here, as this plugin seems to self destruct with an ever increasing pile of files being pushes into the cache folder.

    Hi Justin;
    As per the FAQ (which has more info on what is happening & why there’s no auto-purge) disable “also aggregate inline JS” (and optionally “also aggregate inline CSS”, although that rarely causes issues) and all should be fine.
