Support » Theme: Hueman » Hueman – how can I remove or avoid(?) featured images in static pages

  • Resolved spinatwachtel

    Hi Alex or others,
    I’m using “Hueman” for Blog and Homepage and I like it very much. But there is a problem, I can’t solve: I’d like to eliminate the featured images on top of the static pages. Most of them begin with a small cityemblem. This becomes now big and totally deformed. I don’t need any featured image on top of the pages, but if there is an image, the theme takes it therefore. In the theme editor I found the page-image.php but I haven’t enough expert knowledge to change it in the right way (I removed some code but then I removed the content of the sidebars as well). I was looking for help in the support but didn’t find anything or my English is too bad to find and understand. This is an example of one of the pages I think of: No-So
    Is there anyone who can help me, please!
    Thanks – Elke

  • Hi there!

    What you would need to do is to remove this line in page.php / child-menu.php:

    <?php get_template_part('inc/page-image'); ?>

    Preferably with a child theme.

    And it should be gone 🙂

    Hi Alex,
    thank you so much – it works! Now I’ll go and try to learn all about a child theme.
    Lieben Gruß –

    Hello, I’ve got a similar question, which I have not resolved. I’d like to get rid of the default gray camera image from blog posts. All we need on our conference site is text for presentation abstracts.

    Will create a child theme and try again.

    Thanks, Hugh
