Okay, so I’ve tried to install WordPress (the newest version) on two different servers spaces, both of which are hosted by GoDaddy, on which I’m using ‘Windows’ as my operating system. I do as the ‘5 Minute Installation’ says, I’ve changed the wp-config file, and repeatedly I get this doomed error when accessing my wp-admin/install.php:

“Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”

I’m not a hardcore programmer, so I need some basic help here if possible. Please, this is driving me nuts.

Doing a search on GoDaddy here (in the forums), it looks like the first thing you want to do is ask them to move you to a Linux server…

    Go Daddy

If you change your operating system from Windows to Linux you can obtain instructions in this article from the GoDaddy Help Center: http://help.godaddy.com/article/1285
