I’ve got a problem regarding a Shopp-enabled WP site that as a result, had to become HTTPS since we purchased an SSL certificate from Verisign. So this post really has nothing to do with Shopp. That’s fine. However, we’d like it that the https only comes into effect when you go to the store and no other pages or posts.
Problem with that is, of course, you have to set the WP Site Address URL to be https for the entire site because if you don’t, then references to the style sheet and some image files and links would become http rather than https. I am right on this, aren’t I? And on the other hand, any http pages would now have all sorts of references to https images and scripts rather than http. Which is a problem.
If we don’t make those references https throughout the site, then the store cannot be secure. Or is there some way to make this work where the http pages get http content and https gets secure content? Am i making any sense?
