Our site is a secure site. When I embed a video in the editor from Youtube, it will not display in the browser. Using Chrome Developer Tools, I can see that the video is being blocked because it is from an unsecure source. I have the forceSSL option checked on the embed options page, but this doesn’t seem to have any effect. The only fix I have found is to change ‘http’ to ‘https’ in the embed url that the plugin adds to the editor. This is an easy fix, but shouldn’t the plugin be able to take care of that automatically?

    thanks,

    dc,

Yes, the plugin does it automatically. There hasn’t been any issues with https loading on our end or on several test sites.

As far as your specific site, your above request doesn’t really give any information that’s needed to address your issue further. We would require the embed url you’re using, a link to the corresponding page on your site, and a list of all of the global settings that you’ve checked on the plugin’s settings page besides the force ssl one.

To add to this, some users forget to deactivate other video plugins that they might have installed before activating this one. Whenever an issue occurs with a setting that this plugin offers, please make sure to check to see if there are conflicting plugins.
