I got an error in google webmaster tools for the news sitemap. It tells me to check if the urls in the sitemap correspond to those indexex by google news but they do.

Now i noticed: All URLs of and in sitemaps.xml start with http:// but only the links in post_google_news.xml are https:// …

Is this normal? Can this issue cause the error?

    Thank you for any hint.

That should not happen. Can I have a link to your sitemap please?

thanks for the repsonse. Here are the sitemaps:

Now i found out this only happens when “Enable caching?” is set. There seems to be only one version generated an delivered to http as well as https. (depending on which was created first)

Are you using another permalink manipulation plugin (anything that can possibly modifies permalink?) According to the number of queries used when generating your sitemaps, there could be one.

    Same situation here.
Me too noticed that only the cache version suffer this problem so I disabled the cache, but I still found some https link in google news.

    Did you solve? How?

Not yet solved. I am still investigating the problem. Found out that on my virtual test-server the problem is not present. i did not find out the difference between the configurations yet.

for the moment i force all https to http by htaccess. but google webmaster tools still reports the same error..

Khang Minh the only plugins that might manipulat the permalinks are Eazyest Gallery ans SEO Ultimate i have also w3tc running.

i need the caching because of 40k articles, without i takes to long to generate and the server goes to the knees…

SEO Ultimate Permalink extensions to my URL on posts can’t be found
