http://feedvalidator.org crashes 2 Word Press sites (8 posts)

I used http://feedvalidator.org on two of my WP sites, both sites have now crashed.
I reinstalled one site it is now fine but the second site has lots of files which I do not want to lose. When I go to my site all I get is a blank page. This is right after using "Feed Validator", how can this happen? and what can I do to resolve the problem? my files are still on the server and I am still able to login to admin, however trying to post a file gives me a syntax error message as it did in my other site.

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 2]
    INSERT INTO wp_post2cat (post_id, category_id) VALUES (18, )

It seems that Feed Validator has interefered with one of my files? I also noticed on my other site that when I went into admin options after validating, the text from the boxes in options would disapear after a second leaving all boxes blank, so definately something to be aware of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I doubt it was feedvalidator. Anyway, this is the web's official validation site:
Did your host recently upgrade the mysql?

I've used feedvalidator on wordpress sites, and it's not caused any problems. I would look for another source of the problem, one that's on your server.

What is strange is that both sites were working fine until I validated them. I tested this by going back and re-validating my second site and yet again it now no loger works, worked fine before validating. so it what could be changing on my server after I validate?

I still need to get my other site back in business though, any idesa what I can try?

I am on a VPS and I have not made any changes to MySQL. I Checked with my Server Admin and he says,
"I can't tell if it's recently been upgraded, but you are running MySQL 4.1, which has been around for years and should not have any compatibility issues with wordpress".

Anything esle I can check out?

both installs on the same server? ANY changes, upgrades, patches or fixes done today on that box?

Yes both on the same server. nothing has been done to the server today or recently. one site still working fine the other still down. I can view the RSS feed on the one site so just by loading this page does not cause a problem. so what information would be passed and received when using a Validator?

validator read the rss, just like you would in a browser. it's one way.

it sounds like you got one up again. what did you do to get it running?
