HTTP508 and 503 errors

    This evening, the website suddenly started getting a lot of HTTP 503 and HTTP 508 errors out of the blue. In the server log, I found several editions of this request that came out with errors:

    /da/wp-json/woo-variation-swatches/v1/archive-product/10047?lang=da&_locale=user

    Updating the plugin to 2.0.15 did not resolve the issue.
    Disabling the plugin solved it.

    What causes this? It has been running smooth for almost a year (pro license), so it puzzles me.
