'HTTP error.' with big images and did not 'crunch'

Hello, I am facing ‘HTTP error.’ when uploading bigger images (around 16MB).

It freezes at 100%, then ‘HTTP error’ will pop up. I still can see images in my library, but there’s not size options (Thumbnail – 150 x 150 e.g.) for that image.

I can manually change the size after pasting on posts or pages from Advanced Settings, but it is quite bothersome.

I tried adding
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’32M’);
into the bottom of wp-config, and deactivating all the plug-ins, but both did not work for me.
