This morning I uploaded yet another .svg-file and it worked fine. The next one said http error and now it won’t accept any.

I’ve had a long dialog with the hosting company and nothing seems to help.
    Tried another theme
Tried to deactivate and activate your plugin.
    Tried another svg-plugin
    Reset permissions with host
    added “define(‘ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS’, true);” to wp-config.php

Even did a restore to the point where it last worked, but no.

    Any idea?

    Hello,

Well it’s hard to say, but what changed between uploading successfully and then unsuccessfully?

I would start the troubleshooting process fresh.

    Deactivate all other plugins
    Revert to twentyseventeen theme
Test. If it works again, reactivate things one by one and test between to find the culprit. If it doesn;t work, it’s to do with your environment (hosting, .htaccess possibly).

Let me know how you go.

Sorry, accidentally hit “mark resolved” instead of “notify me by email” checkbox, so updating this now.

No problem. The issue is fixed and it was with the host. I didn’t get a lot of information but it may be helpful for others later:

    – “We have updated the nginx configuration in order to fix this issue.”
