# HTTP Error on 3.3 Uploader

 * I recieve an error on the uploader when I try to add images. HTTP ERROR.
 * I have worked through this list : [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-33-master-list](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-33-master-list),
   with no luck. It is a brand new clean install as-well. The uploader doesnt work
   on the “TwentyEleven” theme, and no plugins aside from Aikiesmet is installed.
 * Help. Please.

 * Oh, and the Flash Uploader gives me the HTTP Error whilst the Browser Uploader
   opens up a :
 * > ” 404 Error ,
   >  The requested URL was not found on this server. “
 * So, its proving to be very hard to run a portfolio site this way.

 * The whole issue needs to bee closely looked at as, you are not the only one having
   these issues…. if you are a trusting soul, you can give write permissions to 
   your wp-content folder/directory the same as the uploads folder…
 * It would be a good idea for you to remove write privileges on your theme and 
   plugins folders as, you don’t want anyone messing with either of those two (theme
   or plugins that is)…
 * Have you attempted to upload using IE 9 yet? If so, please let me know if you
   are actually seeing the “Drag and Drop” feature as, I am not seeing that using
   IE 9, 8, or 7. I only see the drop and drag while using Chrome… this is definitely
   a java/php issue to which, many have not narrowed it down yet…
