Support » Fixing WordPress » http error 500 after migrating to different host

  • Hi!
In the middle of migrating 4 sites from GoDaddy Legacy Linux Hosting to CPanel.
Got through migrating 1 site. Got a database problem that was solved by reuploading a new copy of the db. then got a 500 error which was related to the themes. No problem.

Got to migrating a 2nd site. No database error. Got another 500 error. No access to WP admin.

So far did the following with no luck:
    1) htaccess
    2) theme folder rename
    3) plugins folder rename
    4) define(‘WP_memory_limit’,’64m’)

would really appreciate some help. thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred during that time period. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.

It may not solve your problem but I would increase your memory limit to 128m or even 256m. Are you using Woocommerce? It requires a minimum of 128m. Good luck with GoDaddy. They are a difficult host to work with. Please keep us posted.
