# HTTP ERROR 500 adding Event

 * When I add an Event and hit the Publish button I get:
 * > This page isn’t working
   > [http://www.myurl.com](http://www.myurl.com) is currently unable to handle
   > this request.
   > HTTP ERROR 500
 * If I hit the back button or return to my dashboard, the event has been added.
This is not going to fly with my client, however. Any suggestions? I’ve deactivated
   the most recently added plugins.

 * I’m also getting this error when I use the “Front-end Forms”. I can add Events
without problem when I’m logged-in as an Admin, but not as Subscriber or Contributor.

 * It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check
if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the
   default WordPress theme?

 * I deactivated ALL of my plugins and activated the Twenty Seventeen theme and
I’m still getting this error. If I change the User Role to Administrator, then
the Event submission works as it should. I’ve tried changing “User Capabilities”(
Events -> Settings -> User Capabilities) so that Subscriber has all the capabilities
as an Administrator – still get the error.
 * I wasn’t having this problem a few days ago. May I have changed some other setting
in Events Manager (other than User Capabilities) that could cause this issue?

 * Thanks for your help [@caimin_nwl](https://wordpress.org/support/users/caimin_nwl/),
but I spent too much time and effort on this. I deleted “Events Manager” and
   went with “The Events Calendar”.
