# HTTP Error

 * Hi,
 * Everything was working fine, but today I tried to upload a small image (650k)
   and I got an http error. I am new WP user so I don’t how to trouble shoot it 
   to resolve it.
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated,

 * not necessarily, looks like others have had this issue. Try some of the stuff
   [posted here](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-on-image-upload-still?replies=41)
   and make sure to report back if one of those fixes it.

 * Ok, I will try…but how do I backup everything to make sure I don’t lose what 
   I have?

 * I would start with the .htaccess that someone posted [http://jonrwilson.com/2009/12/wordpress-http-error-crunching-htaccess/](http://jonrwilson.com/2009/12/wordpress-http-error-crunching-htaccess/)
   seemed like it worked for a couple of people there… if that doesn’t work simply
   revert your htaccess to it’s original form.

 * Ok I will try it. Just an FYI, everything was working fine until I installed 
   this plugin earlier today.

 * I deleted it just before posting on the forum, but I was still getting the HTTP
   error so that’s why I posted. I’m wondering if the code that it placed is causing
   the problem and if so would the post that you suggested solve it?
