Support » Plugin: SEOPress, on-site SEO » HTTP Basic Auth = Snippet not working

  • Hi,

We very often build sites on a DEV server behind HTTP Basic Auth security, which prevent curious eyes and bots from spidering our work.

But it looks like SEOPress’ snippet generator for pages does not work, as I get a “401 Authorization Required” in the Title field, and the meta-description is empty.

I have to mention that other plugins work with Basic Auth … sorry! 😉

I can still write stuff in the Field, but I guess it can’t read my page title and auto-generated meta-description 🙁
