 * I am lost. I finally got my wamp to work. I go into the MyPhpAdmin to set up
a database and so forth. Everything looks good. I had to set up a localhost as
localhost:8080. So now when I get started to install WordPress, I enter the information
that is request, name of web sit: wordpress-test, username: root, localhost:
localhost:8080 and left the other spot alone. Then it goes through its steps,
then give me a blank page, http 500 error. I am lost, not sure what to do. I
read on some sites about a .htaccess, I do not even have one of those either.
Please I really need help so that I can start to use this program. Thank you
   in advance.

 * I tried, what you have sent and nothing is working. I even tried AMPPS. This
   is getting very
frustrating. Is there anyone that can give straight answers
in how to make this work. I at the point where I am starting to think wordpress
   is not worth the trouble.

 * 500 error is a generic error message. Doesn’t tell you want went wrong. You can
see error message by Turning on error reporting in php.ini
 * .htaccess file will be created by WordPress after completing installation and
setting up of permalink. Nothing to do with your issue.
 * You can try using MAMP of windows which is a much easier software to use. If
not, you can subscribe to cheap web hosting account online and get their support
to setup WordPress for you, instead of trying to work offline and have big problem
when you try to migrate online after completion.
