 * Hello,
 * I am very new to WordPress, and am trying to edit and clean up a site that the
previous owner had made. However, I’m running into some problems. As far as I
know, all plugins and my theme have been updated to their latest versions, and
I’m not getting any requests from WordPress to update or install anything further.
    1. When I try to delete new users from my site, I get a HTTP 500 error, saying
the website is unable to handle the request.
    2. When I try to edit a page using WP Bakery Builder, it goes into a new box named
Text Box Settings, and doesn’t load and show me the text box to edit.
 * These are the issues I would like to fix more urgently, but I am also wondering
if there is a guide to hosting on wordpress or any tutorials for beginners, as
I realize I’m super new to this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks so much
   in advance!

    1. Internal server errors (error 500) are often caused by plugin or theme function
conflicts, so pease attempt to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default
Twenty Twenty-Two theme. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one
to identify the source of the problem.
If you can install plugins, install [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/).
On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins
and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in **without affecting
normal visitors to your site**.If that does not resolve the problem, it’s possible
that a .htaccess rule could be the source of the problem. To check for this,
access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://wordpress.org/support/article/ftp-clients/)
or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and rename the .htaccess
file. If you can’t find a .htaccess file, ensure that you have set your SFTP
or FTP client to view invisible files. If you couldn’t resolve the problem by
resetting your plugins and theme or renaming your .htaccess file, we might be
able to help, but we’ll need a more detailed error message. Internal server
errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you
have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date
and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred
during that specific time. If you don’t have access to your server error log,
ask your hosting provider to look for you.
    2. Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official
support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best: [https://support.wpbakery.com](https://support.wpbakery.com)

Forum volunteers do not have access to commercial products, so they would not
know why it is not working correctly. Other community members who may have faced
your issue might be able to help you, but your best bet is your product’s developer.
We encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers
to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more
       robust way.
