# HTTP 404 – File Not Found

 * I’ve installed WordPress before a few years ago without any problems. I tried
   to install it recently and I got a 404 error when I tried to access install.php.
 * I get the following message:
 * > Page not found
   > The page you are looking for might have been removed,
   >  had its name changed,
   > or is temporarily unavailable.
   > Please try the following:
   >  If you typed the page address in the Address bar,
   > make sure that it is spelled correctly.
   > – Click the Back button in your browser to try another link.
   >  – Use a search
   > engine like Google to look for information on the Internet.
   > HTTP 404 – File not found
 * I changed the MySQL database/username. I changed the host to the server name.
 * I use iPower hosting, which runs on a Windows/IIS platform. I’ve heard that doesn’t
   mesh well with WordPress, but I don’t know if that’s the problem.
 * Is there anything that may have caused this?

 * When did you register the domain name? It can take up to 72 hours for newly registered
   names to propagate fully.

 * The domain name was registered a long time ago.
