HTML view and Add Link not working….

    I created a website for an organization and just recently the add link and html edit buttons are not loading anything. I click and nothing happens. Removing a link however still works. But I can’t add any link nor can I edit in HTML.

    The most recent thing I did was publish a few posts using Microsoft Live Writer. I was trialing the software for my client to use.

    Have you tried the basic troubleshooting? Disabled all plugins and switched to 2011?

    What would constitute basic trouble shooting?

    Basic troubleshooting:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
