HTML Tags getting unescaped/mangled

    This seems to be an issue that has started within the past few weeks.

    My site contains a great deal of HTML code examples, which I post by replacing < signs with <.

    For some reason, WP is converting these escaped tags back into actual HTML, rendering the examples useless.

    Even more fun, I can restore to a version that has the escaped tags and it will auto-convert them to HTML tags.

    Is there a workaround for this? A fix in progress? How do I get WP to let me post HTML again?
