Hi, on my testing website I’m looking for the phrase
http://54.83.45.133/?s=%22karana+stage%22&lang=en

I’m getting ‘not found’ but the phrase is here
http://54.83.45.133/1977/01/26/advice-to-realized-souls-bordi-1977/
the word karana is in italic

the search works for another part of the same sentence for example

http://54.83.45.133/?s=%22realised+soul+can+feel+it%22&lang=en

When doing exact phrase matching, Relevanssi is comparing to raw database value, and the HTML tags will block it. That’s the way it is, unfortunately, and it’s unlikely to change, as that would complicate phrase searching a lot.
