# HTML slowing down site

* Hi, I’ve been trying to optimise my site and have these 2 elements slowing down
my site. What are they and how would I go about removing them? I don’t have any
coding knowledge but can follow steps fine.

* Also, more generally, are there any big things to look out for that would slow
a page down unnecessarily?

* I see a LOT of images from your slider. You might consider removing some. As
far as the user experience, though, the page loads fairly quickly. A lot of the“
action” is taking place off-screen.
* You also have a couple of 404s
* ```

* Ah ok, thank you. And yes, it was the 404s I was looking to get rid of. How do
you mean by specify as a theme option? Something I’ve added later or something
that I should’ve set up?

* Is there a way of editing posts?
* On topic, the image was one for my site icon or logo so I guess I’ve set it at
some point and deleted the original file and now wherever I set it up is searching
for it each time? Set the site icon again and I don’t use a logo, but still get
2 404s.
