I’ve been hearing a bunch about Schema & Microdata for SEO benefits lately. We currently have a static HTML site, but plan on adding a Genesis Framework child theme into a /blog folder this week. I understand Genesis has these schema benefits built into its code.
1. Does that mean our static HTML pages won’t get any of these schema benefits?
2. Can code be added to the HTML pages to give it the schema benefits?
3. If we are able to add this schema code, will the fact that the new Genesis WP /blog is different code from the rest of the static HTML pages cause an SEO problem?
Wondering now if we shouldn’t just put the whole site into WordPress. We could, but would just rather not go through the cost if we can get the same schema SEO benefits without it.
