  • I have an HTML navbar that I use on my site and I want to add it between the header image and the body. Can anyone give me a head start? I have notced several people using what looks to be html navbars in their sites. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Well, one thing you could do is visit those site you’ve seen with the navbars, and look at their source code. You could also examine their CSS as well.

If you use Firefox for a browser, you can install an extension called Web Developer by Chris Pederick which is an amazing tool kit to have at your disposal.

Thanks Moose, I just installed it and now I don’t know how to get it to work. How do you initiate Web Developer from Firefox? I just installed Firefox program to help me edit and validate WordPress, leaving behind my long-standing love affair with my HMTL editor, and this looks like a wonderful function, if I could figure out how to make it work. I know I’m missing something.

to initiate web developer, right click somewhere along the top of your menu bar and add web developer toobar and it’ll bring up an extra toolbar in firefox. In order to get it to work, the main thing I use it for is to lay another css file on top of the current website. To do this, you click on the second icon in the web developer toolbar, and select
    “add user style sheet”.

You can then pick the css file you’re working on, and see how the changes you made in the css file affect your webpage. Hope this helps.
