# HTML LINKS IN POSTS

 * Just rebooting an old website: got a link issue
 * 
 * But it’s not linking: just showing the code text
 * Wordpress auto links not a good option as closes down the page
 * Any advice greatly appreciated

 * Many thanks for getting back to us – I think it’s sorted: it looks like html 
   link code may have changed..perhaps I can check with you…
 * So for instance originally I wrote this

 * Which didn’t show a link
 * Then I used the auto-link option instead, and switched the view to code (text):
   when I edited that with a ‘target_blank’ so that it opened a second page and 
   didn’t leave the website, the code automatically defaulted to this:
 * [CCNs Home Page](https://www.facebook.com/Cornwall-Community-News-271395472898872/)

 * Hello again – I put code direct in to the message above and of course it’s showing
   as a link: left brackets off this time, hope that allows you to view the code
   itself..
