HTML generated by default settings

  • I was wondering if anyone knows of a resource that displays the default HTML generated by each of the WordPress template tags. I’m sure I can recall seeing examples of this somewhere, but searches here and Web-wide have been fruitless. I’d find it very useful to know exactly what HTML WordPress (1.5) outputs with it’s default settings. Thanks in advance.

  • I’d have thought the best way would be to create a page / post and then View Source ?

True enough, though I was hoping a resource somewhere would break down each WordPress tag into its consituent HTML parts. Thanks anyway.

There is no such thing, being that PHP is dynamic and uses the template tags to output HTML. Basically, Podz is right. The best way to view the output is to view your source. You’ll find a lot of <a href="http://www.domain.com/link/">Link</a> tags.
